Location: the hotel was really close to nishiki market and gion area, gojo subway station and a quiet back street 15 minute walk from the station.

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at this small oasis in the bustling city. The room was comfortable and the cypress wood bath was perfect for a soothing soak. We enjoyed playing games in the peaceful library area and appreciated the complimentary hot drinks. The staff were lovely and their minimal English was helpful. The curated dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented. we highly recommend this ryokan experience.
